GOP endorses Campbell
That should just about do it. At this point, it's entirely possible that this campaign won't see the formality of a general election.
Yes, it's uncommon for the party to pick sides in a primary campaign. But when we're talking about perhaps the most important Republican congressional district in the country, and when one of the Republicans is actively courting Democrats, it's a no-brainer. The GOP isn't going to let the CA 48th fall into the hands of a RINO no more than they'd let it fall into the hands of a Democrat - there's too much at stake.
